Lens Flare

Well I originally was out there to shoot pics for Thomson Reuters. They did the flag unfurling on the field along with the US Air Force. Unfortunately, during practice a gust of wind took the flag and wrapped it around a sign in the parking lot. Can you say RIP??? It tore the heck out of the 300ft flag about 45min prior to opening ceremonies.. Ultimately, they had to remove two stripes and go with 11… Wonder how many people noticed US Armed Services holding a 300ft 11 striped flag? LOL

Anyway, after shooting that, I decided to cover some of the game…”Some” turned into “ALL”.. What a great time of the year!

Finally got to shoot an event there a couple weeks ago. Gotta say.. I am impressed!
Shot the Chelsea FC vs. Club America match. Here are a couple of photos from the day.

Here are a couple of shots I took at the HP Byron Nelson PGA Tour event last week. Do you think Jesper has it out to get me? What a scary glare he gave me after he missed a putt. Geez!

The Pro Am started off on a sad note with Phil Mickelson’s wife Amy being diagnosed with cancer. My thoughts and prayers go out to their family and I wish her a speedy recovery.

After 7.5hrs out in the sun…I became sufficiently burned. I forgot sunblock!

Well.. For the first time in a long time I am so excited about the Texas Rangers. 1st place, pitching seems solid and young players looking extremely good.
Too darn bad that the Texas Rangers organization has chosen to decline my media agency and several others credentials to cover the game this year. It makes ZERO sense to me. Of all teams that need publicity, the Rangers are high on that list. Our agency has covered them for years and continues to cover pretty much every other MLB team across the country. MAJOR LEAGUE DISAPPOINTMENT for me. I live in the city, helped pay for the stadium and just dying to shoot them. I covered the other Hicks team this past year, so I guess I shouldn’t complain too much. I do plan to work with the AA Frisco Roughriders when I can…and perhaps the Grand Praire Air Hoggs to get my baseball fix.

Been shooting my son’s 7yr old coach pitch games, but it just isn’t the same. LOL

Hope to be working the upcoming PGA Tour events so stay tuned for some new golf images.

I also hope to get back to blogging more often, even if it’s Little League.

Stars may have lost the game 1-0….But they won the fight!
